Off to SXSWi

I’m really excited to be part of the West Midlands delegation going to SXSW Interactive in Austin, Texas this year. My first experience of SXSWi was attending last year’s festival – and I can’t describe it as anything less than mind-blowing. It will be great to share the experience with an even larger group of people from Birmingham and the region this year.
I’m being part-supported by Advantage West Midlands, who have very kindly provided me with a conference ticket, and I’ll be there to help spread the word about Birmingham’s Hello Digital festival, setting up some meetings with the guys behind SXSWi, interesting collaborators and potential conference speakers for Hello Digital 2009.
The rest of my expenses, hotel and travel costs I’m covering myself – and I have no doubt after last year that it will another amazing opportunity for me to build knowledge, contacts and experience that I can share not only with friends and colleagues back in the UK, but our clients too. On top of all that, Austin is a truly fantastic place to be, and I can’t wait to get back there.
