BASS Festival appoints Rewired PR

Rewired PR has been appointed to carry out the press and publicity for BASS Festival 2009.
Now in its fourth year, BASS (British Art and Street Sounds) is the UK’s only month long celebration of Black art, culture and music, and takes place at venues across the Midlands.
Running throughout June, BASS 09 is inspired by Africa and its influence on the UK’s cultural scene. The festival programme will feature major new commissions in art, music, theatre and dance from internationally renowned artists.
Ammo Talwar MBE, Director of Punch Records, which produces the BASS Festival, said:
“We’ve always been inspired by the wealth and depth of the African Diaspora and its influence over the UK arts and music scene – this year’s festival will be a landmark series of new commissions and partnerships”
Ruth Ward, Managing Director of Rewired PR said:
“We’re delighted to have the opportunity to work with Ammo and the team at Punch Records on this year’s BASS Festival. The programme for 2009 includes a number of high profile, inspiring and thought-provoking commissions that will give audiences across the Midlands an opportunity to take part in and experience the global impact of African culture.”
More details of the BASS 09 lineup will be announced shortly. For further information please visit www.bassfestival.co.uk
