Cadbury World unveils 20th Anniversary art sculpture
Cadbury World has unveiled a new outdoor art sculpture to mark the 20th Anniversary of the Bournville attraction.

Cadbury World commissioned the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design at Birmingham City University to create the sculpture as part of its 20th Anniversary celebrations. The final sculpture was designed by Birmingham-based artist Faye Binza and uses a wide range of materials, including painted plywood and reclaimed materials.
Faye was joined by the current Cadbury World General Manager Gerrard Baldwin to unveil the sculpture which was witnessed by Sir Adrian Cadbury and the first General Manager of Cadbury World, Ian Saxby.
Lucy Giaquinto, Marketing Manager at Cadbury World said
“We are elated by the continued popularity of Cadbury World since it opened twenty years ago, and wanted to create a fitting tribute to this achievement. As a Birmingham attraction it was important to us that a local artist created our sculpture, which is why we decided to work with BIAD. We’re thrilled with the final result and feel that it perfectly epitomises the mix of fun and Cadbury heritage that we promote at Cadbury World.”
Steve Perkins, Senior Lecturer at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design said:
“We were honoured to be approached by such a revered Birmingham establishment and were delighted to help the team at Cadbury World celebrate this impressive milestone. Faye takes her inspiration from urban art and culture and we’re proud that her finished sculpture is being exhibited at Cadbury World.”
Since opening its doors in 1990, Cadbury World has attracted over 8 million visitors and offers 14 different zones encompassing learning, heritage and fun. A recent Cadbury World poll discovered that most visitors’ favourite zone is the Cadabra ride whilst the most popular chocolate brought from the Cadbury World shop is the Cadbury Mis-Shapes.
