Emma Willis to Host Style in the City Catwalk

Model and TV Presenter Emma Willis has been confirmed as the host for this year’s Catwalk Show at The Sunday Times Style in the City, taking place in Birmingham, 24-26 September.
Originally from Sutton Coldfield, Emma is best-known for presenting shows such as MTV’s TRL and ITV2’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! Now, alongside her musician husband Matt Willis. Emma is no stranger to the fashion world; her career began as a young model working for the likes of Vogue, Marie Claire, Gap and Chanel. She now makes a welcomed return to the catwalk, and her hometown, for the three-day fashion and beauty event.
This year’s Catwalk Show will take place at a secret location in The Mailbox, known only to ticket holders. The thirty-minute show will include some of the world’s best designers, from D&G and Stella McCartney, to Balmain and Roland Mouret. There will be six catwalk shows per day, with the final 7pm show including an extra scene unique to that day.

“This year’s catwalk will focus on the key looks for Autumn/Winter that every fashionista will want to know. We are working with some of the world’s best designers and retailers to deliver an exciting and groundbreaking show.”
Emma is not the only Birmingham export to grace this year’s stage; acclaimed fashion designer Osman Yousefzada will be returning to the city to show his Autumn/Winter Womenswear Collection at an exclusive preview evening. The invite-only event will see celebrities and the city’s style elite treated to Osman’s staple architectural style; one of next season’s key trends. The Birmingham-born designer shot to fame in early 2008 when he collaborated with international fashion brand Mango on the ‘MNG Little Black Dress’ range.
Style in the City is a three-day fashion and beauty event taking place in venues across the city centre from 24-26 September. The Catwalk Show is being produced and styled by Birmingham-based Adage Events, with make-up from MAC Cosmetics and hair by Francesco Group using Wella Professionals products.
Style in the City will also see TV favourite Gok Wan hosting a series of live makeovers and Q&A’s as part of his ‘style sessions’ at Bullring, a beauty and pampering area, The Oasis, at Pavilions, and an exclusive Jewel Room at The Mailbox. Across the three days there will also be in-store events at top retailers including Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser, M&S and Selfridges.
