Fashion comes alive at Style Birmingham Live

Romantic Lace, Liquorice Allsorts, Charlie’s Angel and Grunge Glamour… just some of the hot new trends for the Autumn/Winter season. All of which will be seen on the catwalk at the very first Style Birmingham Live, from 24-26 September.
A total of 14 stunning catwalk shows will take place at Birmingham’s Town Hall across the three-day event, showcasing the latest fashions from the city’s best stores. From designer labels found at House of Fraser and Harvey Nichols, to high street favourites including French Connection, Next, Monsoon, Marks & Spencer, Karen Millen and Oasis; the shows will offer something for everyone. A selection of the city’s unique independent stores, including Mary Portas-praised Disorder, Aspecto, Uber and Matsuki will also feature.
Hosted by TV’s George Lamb, the catwalk shows will be the centrepiece for the three-day event, which takes over the city centre from 24-26 September. The Big Brother’s Little Brother host will present 10 trend-led scenes from over 30 retailers in the stunning Town Hall surroundings.
Bringing Autumn/Winter fashion alive, 22 models will be wearing the hottest new trends, including: 50s-inspired ‘Lady Like’, devastatingly chic ‘Minimal Clinical’, chaos and creativity in ‘Dress Up Box’, paper-thin frocks for ‘Boho Poets’, and the ever-lasting trend of Leopard Print. There will also be elements of military fashion, sportswear and lingerie across the runway. Official hair sponsor for the show Nicky Clarke will be sending the team from The Mailbox, Birmingham salon to style the models. They will be led by Nicky Clarke’s protégé and celebrity stylist, International Creative Director Warren Clarke, who is taking time away from styling the likes of Sienna Miller, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.
In addition to the fashion spectacular, Style Birmingham Live will also see The Show, a live theatrical performance at Bullring and fashion shows presented by international model Ruth Crilly at Pavilions. House of Fraser will host a programme of beauty events across the weekend, with their infamous brands offering top tips and demonstrations. Harvey Nichols will be offering shopping treats and beauty tips and bringing ‘The Hub’ to Victoria Square; a unique installation that is set to get show visitors talking. Added to that, the store is also presenting the fabulous Elemis bus, a pampering treat for ladies everywhere.
Tickets for Style Birmingham Live start at just £10 for a Standard ticket, including a seat at the catwalk show, fabulous goody bag and access to the fantastic events across the city.
