Get On Your Dancing Shoes With Punch Records
This winter sees two exciting tours coming to Birmingham, as part of Punch Records' winter programme.

Later this month, South Africa's Number One female jazz artist, Simphiwe Dana, kicks off her first UK tour. From 23 October - 2 November, the seven-time South Africa Music Award winner will tour venues across the UK, including Southback Centre London and The Drum, Birmingham. As well as winning the SAMA's seven times, Simphiwe Dana's career also includes her solo album 'Zandisile' going to Number One in the Billboard Charts, performing at Nelson Mandela's 83rd Birthday Party, and representing South Africa as a cultural ambassador ahead of the 2008 Olympic Games in China.

On the other end of the music scale, Punch is also hosting a new tour, Dub 2 Dubstep.
The exclusive, UK-wide Dub 2 Dubstep tour will be kicking off next month at selected venues across the country. Demonstrating the musical connection between dub reggae and dubstep music, this maverick tour will feature four artists whose styles and musical selections are legendary within the dub reggae and dubstep scenes.
The tour will take place from 28 November – 10 December 2009 and feature four leading dubstep artists, as well as the infamous Channel One Sound System.

Celebrating it's 30th Anniversary, Channel One Sound System is widely acknowledged as one of the top dub reggae soundsystems in the world. Channel One, with Mikey Dread as selector and Ras Kayleb as MC, will bring their custom built soundsystem to each venue. With its rich bass heavy sound, the system is used to showcase their heavyweight selection of old and new dub reggae classics, which have kept crowds across the globe jumping. Artists on the tour will include The Uplifter, JazZstepPa, Kromestar, and Rob Smith aka RSD.
