Lasan wins British Curry Award for fourth year
Birmingham’s Lasan restaurant has secured the British Curry Award – Midlands Region for the fourth consecutive year.
Launched in 2005, The British Curry Awards is the largest event on the curry calendar. This year’s ceremony held at Grosvenor House in London last night (Sunday 21 November) was hosted by Justin Lee Collins and attended by over 1,000 restaurateurs, MPs and celebrities.
Director of the Lasan Group, Jabbar Khan, said:
“We work hard to maintain our standards of innovation, excellence and quality and to hold the title of British Curry Award for the fourth consecutive year is a huge honour for us.”
Chef Director at Lasan, Aktar Islam, added:
“The British Curry Award is one of the most sought after in the industry, and we are delighted to once again bring this back to Birmingham for the team and our customers.”
Lasan has won a string of awards for its innovative cuisine, service and contribution to the industry. In 2009 Lasan was named Best Local Restaurant by Gordon Ramsay’s The F Word and featured in Men’s Health Magazine’s Healthiest Restaurant Awards.
Lasan has been celebrated as a Top 10 Indian Restaurant in the UK by The Times, The Independent and The Guardian, and most recently by MSN Sainsbury’s Food and Drink.
