Millennium Point launches BIG day out campaign

Millennium Point is encouraging residents across the West Midlands to share memories from their favourite day out at the landmark venue as part of its 10th birthday celebrations.
The best entries will receive a special invitation to attend Millennium Point’s BIG 10th Birthday party in September, where the winners will be able to meet the stars of the Harry Potter films, James and Oliver Phelps, who play Fred and George Weasley.
The BIG day out campaign is asking people from the West Midlands to share anything from a photo or video of a family day out, to a special event they attended at the building.
Jenny Powell is a 2nd year student who studies BSc (Hons) Business Information Technology at Birmingham City University in Millennium Point and is taking part in the campaign.
Jenny, who lives in Erdington, said: “My big day out at Millennium Point was my first day as a Business Information Technology student. It was so exciting walking into the building and I was amazed at the standard of facilities on offer.”
Karen Steed, acting chief executive of Millennium Point, said: “Millennium Point is home to a wide range of businesses and attractions, and to celebrate its success over the past ten years, we want to hear what people love about the building.
“This could be a fun day out that you and your family have spent at Thinktank, pictures of when the building first opened or footage from one of the many events that we’ve held here over the years. I’m sure there are a lot of memorable occasions that have been captured by our visitors and we’re looking forward to seeing them.”
