Race to Cadbury World for Father’s Day
Dads are racing to Cadbury World this Father’s Day to take part in a giant Scalextric championship. The popular Midlands attraction will become home to a 16ft x 8ft Scalextric track and is offering a Cadbury World chocolate hamper to the fastest driver.

Families are invited to enrol their dads in the competition, which involves a number of heats throughout the day. The track is a challenging eight-lane trail allowing dads to battle it out during their five laps of the route.
Whilst dads test their driving skills the rest of the family can test their chocolate-writing skills. Demonstrations from Cadbury World chocolatiers will take part throughout the day and families can have a go at writing their names in fresh liquid chocolate. The talents of Cadbury World chocolatiers were recently seen on national entertainment show, Britain’s Got More Talent. Last weekend viewers watched as TV favourites Ant and Dec, and host Stephen Mulhern, were presented with chocolate caricatures of themselves.
Cadbury World celebrates its 20th Anniversary this year with an exciting twelve-month calendar of themed events. Having first opened its doors in 1990, Cadbury World now receives over 570,000 visitors each year including 75,000 school children who arrive to experience the magic, making and history of Cadbury chocolate.
Lucy Giaquinto, Marketing Manager at Cadbury World said:
“Everyone knows that dads can be difficult to buy for so we thought we’d enable the whole family to celebrate together by organising a bunch of fun activities and a ‘dad friendly’ championship.”
