Style Birmingham Live brings Nicky Clarke protege to his roots

Hailed as the next big name in hairdressing by ELLE Magazine, Hair Stylist Warren Holmes is returning to his hometown this month, to head up the catwalk show styling team at Style Birmingham Live (24-26 September).
Nicky Clarke has signed up as the official hair partner for Style Birmingham Live and as part of the three-day fashion event Nicky Clarke’s protégé and International Creative Director, Warren Holmes will be leading a team of top stylists from the Birmingham salon, situated in The Mailbox. Originally from Lichfield, this marks a homecoming for Warren as he takes time away from his role at Nicky Clarke’s London salon.
No stranger to the limelight, Warren is undoubtedly one of the industry’s stars and has worked his magic on the likes of Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Sienna Miller, and is commonly requested by The Royal Family. He has been involved with photo shoots for some of the biggest fashion magazines including Vogue, Harpers and Bazaar and ELLE, and worked alongside legends like Mario Testino and Film Director Tim Burton. His creations have also been seen on catwalks around the world, including Chanel, Armani, Aquascutum and good friend Matthew Williamson.
Warren said:
“I’m buzzing to be coming back home for Style Birmingham Live; Birmingham is a cool city and it’s where I’m from, so naturally at this stage in my career there isn’t anywhere else I’d rather be. It’s great to do London, New York, Paris and Milan but it’s not real; Birmingham is. I was supposed to be at Milan Fashion Week and I had a shoot in Paris, but when Nicky Clarke became the hair sponsor for the event, it was too good an opportunity to pass up.”
“I love that real women and men will be at the Town Hall catwalk shows, and not just designers and fashion journalists. It means I can get down to what I love; educating people on how to find a style that suits them and tips on how to re-create it at home. Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsey do it with cooking and I want to do it with hair.”
Aged just 25, Warren has already made a name for himself as Nicky Clarke’s star protégé and his expertise are sure to add A-List glamour to the Style Birmingham Live catwalk show.
Nicky Clarke OBE said:
“Warren is a hugely talented hairstylist who I have worked closely with for many years. He now has an enviable track record working with some of the biggest names in fashion worldwide. Style Birmingham Live is a fantastic event and I know Warren is really excited to be showcasing his work in his home city.”
The Warren Holmes at Nicky Clarke creations will be seen across a total of fourteen catwalk shows, from 24-26 September. Hosted by TV presenter George Lamb, the shows will take place at Birmingham’s Town Hall and feature the new Autumn/Winter trends available from the city’s stores. From designer brands, high street favourites and unique independents, there will be something for everyone. In addition to the catwalk show, Style Birmingham Live will also see events and in-store activities at Bullring, Pavilions, House of Fraser, Harvey Nichols and The Mailbox, to name a few.
Tickets start at £10 and include a seat at the catwalk show, a fabulous goody bag, access to Bullring and Pavilions shows, beauty and pampering at House of Fraser and Harvey Nichols, and hair and beauty sessions at the Heart and Galaxy Style Stations. There are also a number of limited Front Row Gold Tickets for £30, which include front row seats at the catwalk show, chauffeur driven cars and lunch.
