Style in the City Official Hair Partner Announced

Stafford-based Francesco Group will be giving guests at The Sunday Times Style in the City a taste of what makes them so special. FG has been confirmed as the official hairdresser of the three-day fashion and beauty event, taking place across Birmingham’s key fashion venues, 24-26 September.
With over forty years experience and thirty salons across the Midlands, FG has a reputation for offering bespoke hairdressing and VIP customer care. A team of the Group’s dedicated hair professionals will be working backstage at the event’s Catwalk Show, taking place at The Mailbox throughout the three days.
This year’s Catwalk Show will be hosted by model and TV personality Emma Willis, best-known for presenting ITV2’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! Now, alongside her musician husband Matt Willis. Emma is no stranger to the fashion world; her career began as a young model working for the likes of Vogue, Marie Claire, Gap and Chanel.
The catwalk will see some of the world’s top designers, from D&G and Stella McCartney, to Balmain and Roland Mouret. There will be six catwalk shows per day, with the final 7pm show including an extra scene unique to that day.
Making up the FG hairdressing team are two current finalists for the prestigious British Hairdressing Awards 2009. Anya Dellicompagni, the Group’s Director of Hairdressing has been nominated for the Midlands Hairdresser of the Year title and Michelle Thompson, Creative Director, has been nominated for Afro-Caribbean Hairdresser of the Year. They will work with their team to create trend-setting and inspirational hairstyles, with Wella Professionals Products, to add those all-important finishing touches to the designer looks.
During the event, FG will also appear in The Oasis, a beauty and pampering haven based in The Pavilions shopping centre. Style in the City visitors can take the weight off their feet and treat themselves to an array of health, hair and beauty treatments. A team of top FG stylists will be available at the Wella Professionals Salon Experience, offering consultations, cuts and sharing tips on how to create the latest hair trends. As well as expert advice on choosing products, which will be available to purchase.
Style in the City will also see TV favourite Gok Wan hosting a series of live makeovers and Q&A’s as part of his ‘style sessions’ at Bullring; an exclusive Jewel Room at Mailbox; and a host of in-store events at top retailers including Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser, M&S and Selfridges.
