The Rewired team has chosen to support the Buddy Bag Foundation (BBF) as its charity of the year for 2018.

The BBF makes a huge difference to the thousands of children entering emergency care each year by providing them with ‘Buddy Bags’ to restore a sense of safety, comfort and security in their lives.  The Buddy Bags contain essential items, which can help make the transition into emergency accommodation that little bit easier. Over 12,000 bags have been distributed since the charity was formed in 2014.

Ruth Pipkin, managing director at Rewired said: “In our tenth birthday year, we wanted to support a charity where we feel we could make a real difference with our fundraising. We heard about the BBF through an event we attended last year, it touched us as a group, and we decided to pool our resources to raise as much as we can.

“We’ve set a target of £10,000 across the year, and in keeping with our 10th birthday one of our biggest team fundraising events will be the upcoming Great Birmingham 10k run.”

The founder of the Buddy Bag Foundation, Karen Williams said: “We are delighted that Rewired has chosen BBF as their charity of the year.  Every penny raised will go back into the local community by providing our ‘Bags of Love’ and making a difference to the children in emergency care”.
