We're looking to recruit an experienced Account Director or Senior Account Manager to work across a range of high profile B2C and B2B clients, from travel and retail to education and finance. The role will involve providing strategic direction for PR and event activity, whilst overseeing a number of client accounts across different sectors to ensure that work is delivered on time and on budget. This is an integral role within Rewired, helping to shape client strategy, bringing communications knowledge and expertise to our clients.
Overseeing all account activity to ensure Rewired’s high standards are upheld across every client touch point
Liaising on a daily basis with clients, via telephone and email
Monitoring the media, including newspapers, magazines, broadcast, blogs and social media for opportunities for clients and proactively considering how these can be used to generate coverage for clients
Developing existing relationships with press whilst actively contacting journalists to seek out potential opportunities and developing these opportunities to secure coverage
Strengthening relationships with existing clients and seeking opportunities to develop these relationships commercially
Managing and reporting account processes
Event development and management
Managing budgets and time
Take an active role in developing new business
Required knowledge and skills:
Fantastic interpersonal, teamwork and negotiation skills
Excellent written communication skills
Proven ability of writing in different styles and for different mediums and audiences
Flexibility, determination, enthusiasm and the ability to cope well under pressure
Ability to work on own initiative
Good analytical skills
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on more than one project at a time
Attention to detail
Good understanding of social media and the role it plays in PR
Ability to work to a given time schedule/ monitor time spent on projects/ retainers
Minimum of five years’ experience within an agency or in-house role
