Ruth Pipkin
Managing Director

Ruth has 20 years’ experience in marketing and communications, having worked both in-house and in-agency before setting up Rewired in 2008. Ruth is committed to developing effective strategies and delivering creative campaigns that achieve high impact and measurable results.

Ruth Pipkin
Managing Director

Ruth has 20 years’ experience in marketing and communications, having worked both in-house, for the Home Office and in-agency before setting up Rewired in 2008. 

She has extensive cross-sector experience having worked with global brands including Mondelēz (Cadbury), Panasonic and Channel 4.

Ruth is committed to developing effective strategies and delivering creative campaigns that achieve measurable results, from increasing footfall to driving sales, changing perceptions to managing reputations.

In addition, her crisis management experience, from supporting clients dealing with factory closures, foot and mouth disease, work place fatalities, negative customer feedback and more, ensures that our clients are in safe hands 24/7.

A trustee of Birmingham Hippodrome and a member of the GBSLEP Growing Business board, Ruth is often asked to speak on the topic of entrepreneurship and has mentored students from BCU, Birmingham University and BMET.

Commercial Director

With extensive industry experience in retail, homeware and professional services, Harj is plugged into those sectors and well-connected across the Midlands region and nationally. Harj is committed to delivering commercial opportunities and content marketing strategies for Rewired and its clients.

Harj Millington
Commercial Director

With extensive industry experience in the retail, homeware and professional service sectors, Harj is plugged into key networks, well-connected across the Midlands region and committed to developing commercial and sector growth opportunities for Rewired.

Harj brings commercial awareness, content marketing and brand strategies to our clients, whilst supporting them in generating wider business opportunities and developing strong, valuable business relationships.

For 7 years, Harj successfully managed her own digital homewares retail business, as a commercial director of Style Our Home, focussing on business growth, marketing and strategy.

Prior to this, for 10 years, Harj was a commercial lawyer at international law firm Gowlings WLG (formerly Wragge & Co).

Harj sits on the board of the Birmingham Hippodrome theatre where she is helping to expand the theatre's audience demographics and outreach to wider communities. Harj is also a Governor of Hill West Primary School.

Natalie Merrix
Associate Director

Natalie is an experienced, creative and highly organised Associate Director managing demanding projects and campaigns for clients, as well as the HR management function within Rewired. Natalie works across B2B and B2C clients and is accomplished in generating national coverage.

Natalie Merrix
Associate Director

Natalie is an experienced, creative and highly organised Associate Director, having worked at some of the region’s most respected communications agencies. 

Her PR experience spans both B2B and B2C clients across a number of sectors, with a strong focus on generating national coverage.

Natalie manages our larger clients, events and projects, whilst also being responsible for the HR management function within Rewired, including our internship scheme.

She is a talented copywriter, who can turn her hand to drafting compelling consumer, trade and technical copy for clients.

Natalie is the 2017 winner of the prestigious Future Faces awards for Sales, Marketing and Communications and was shortlisted as a finalist at the CIPR Pride Awards 2016, as Young Communicator of the Year.

Amy Williams
Account Director

Bringing her extensive experience in the management of wide-reaching B2B and B2C campaigns, Amy is a leading expert in the implementation of both traditional and digital media campaigns. With a flair for consumer PR, she manages projects for The Mailbox, Heal’s and Cadbury World.

Amy Williams
Account Director

Bringing her extensive experience in the management of wide-reaching B2B and B2C campaigns, Amy is a leading expert in the implementation of both traditional and digital media campaigns.

Having studied at the University of Birmingham, she has worked with established PR firms and high profile brands including Nestle, Stella Artois, Michelin Great Britain, Hypnos, Topps Tiles and Vax.

Amy has strong project management skills and with a flair for consumer PR, she manages campaigns for The Mailbox, Heal’s, Cadbury World, Tom’s Kitchen, The Handmade Fair and BBC Good Food Show.

Amy is also a keen linguist, studying Modern Languages at University and spending a year living abroad in Montpellier and Barcelona.

Ben Wooldridge
Account Manager

Ben joins us as a consultant from Glitter Pot, his own PR and Social Media company.  Based in Birmingham, he is well connected in creative arts and leisure.

Ben has worked on impressive national social media campaigns for the National Trust before joining us, and this experience aids the team in staying ahead of the game in social media and providing clients with engaging and connected campaigns.

With a flair for the dramatic, his press office experience was forged in the world of theatre having worked in the PR teams for both Birmingham Royal Ballet and Birmingham Hippodrome, which saw him working alongside major producers and agencies such as Disney, Cameron Mackintosh and the National Theatre on national and international tours. 

At Rewired, Ben works alongside the team across a number of projects on extensive market and sector research, content creation, creative copywriting, media relations plus web and social output.

Jake Malbasa
Junior Account Manager

With strong interpersonal skills, a journalistic background and his aptitude for succinct and creative PR opportunities, Jake works closely with our hospitality and leisure clients, playing key roles in accounts such as Gaucho, The Ivy, and BBC Good Food Show/BBC Gardeners’ World Live.

Jake is by far the tallest member of our team and an expert in the field of media, having studied and trained in journalism before moving into public relations.

Through journalistic experience at global magazines, local press and blogging, Jake’s skill and passion for story-telling is strong, his style confident and persuasive, and his content powerful.

With his strong interpersonal skills and his aptitude for succinct and creative PR opportunities, Jake works closely with our food & beverage clients.

Also a keen jet-setter, Jake has travelled across Europe and Asia - his knowledge of travel, sport and music, gives Rewired a diverse outlook on all projects.

A popular creative blogger and photographer in her own right, Winnie brings a social-savvy eye to Rewired, as well as a finger on the pulse of trends.

Prior to joining Rewired, Winnie worked for 4 years in an in-house marketing team for a national consumer brand where she managed social media, e-commerce and implementing national brand campaigns.

Combining her experience in the world of marketing with her passion for creativity, Winnie now works across a range of our accounts as well as managing our own social media channels and website.

Winnie enjoys pushing her creative boundaries through photography and travel, which sees her visiting must-see destinations, the latest arts exhibitions and diverse eateries.

Grace Coniry
Account Executive

Graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a first-class degree in Broadcast Journalism, Grace brings her impressive technical media knowledge to Rewired.

Skilled in video production, filming and editing, Grace has worked in both local and national radio on a range of marketing, PR and social campaigns.

She is an accomplished event organiser, having helped coordinate major experiential PR moments such as The Fusion Festival, Race for Life and the Coca Cola truck tour during her time working with one of the UK’s major radio broadcasters, Capital FM.

Grace orchestrates a wide range of events and campaigns for our clients including The Handmade Fair, Mondelez and The Mailbox.

Account Executive

Jasmine has an unlimited ability to aid in the creation of professional, distinctive campaigns. With a first-class degree in Psychology, Jasmine is technically excellent and she understands consumer behaviour and how to attract and engage, so she works well with national consumer PR clients.

Jasmine Caine
Account Executive

Having originally joined the Rewired team on an internship, Jasmine has proven herself to be an invaluable member of the team, with an unlimited ability to aid in the creation of professional, distinctive campaigns.

Jasmine graduated from the University of Birmingham with a first-class degree in Psychology. She has a strong understanding of consumer behaviour and how to attract and engage customers.

As a result, Jasmine is an excellent copywriter and a key team member on our national PR campaigns for luxury consumer brands, including Heal's.

Jasmine has also spent time working in Sri Lanka as a mental health volunteer, fully realising her communication skills whilst teaching English to those living in poverty with special needs.

Jenny Ell
Administrator

A keen writer and reviewer in her spare time, Jenny has a range of experience in office administration and management. Having built up great experience at the Midlands Arts Centre where she was Sales Systems Coordinator, Jenny’s people and systems management skills are extremely accomplished.

Jenny Ell

A keen writer and reviewer in her spare time, Jenny has a range of experience in office administration and management.

Born and bred in Birmingham, Jenny joined Rewired from the Midlands Arts Centre where she was Sales Systems Coordinator - her people and systems management skills are therefore extremely accomplished.

Her background lies in the theatre, having graduated from the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a BA (Hons) in Stage Management & Technical Theatre.

Jenny’s stage management experience took her to the Edinburgh Fringe and saw her work with many Birmingham theatres on enviable productions and shows such as the Lion King, Wicked and War Horse.

Jenny oversees the smooth running of our team administration and HR operations.

Rewired has chosen the amazing Buddy Bag Foundation as its focus for charity fundraising in 2018.  This charity makes a huge difference to children in emergency care by providing those entering emergency accommodation with ‘Buddy Bags’ to restore a sense of safety, comfort and security in their lives.  The Buddy Bags contain essential items, including a super cuddly teddy, which can help make the transition into emergency care that little bit easier.
