Drayton Manor at 75

Creating a birthday buzz

MISSION:

With more than 50 rides and attractions, including Europe’s only Thomas Land, as well as a 150-room hotel and 15-acre zoo, Drayton Manor Resort is one of the UK’s leading visitor attractions.

Throughout 2025, the Staffordshire-based park is celebrating its 75th anniversary, with a jam-packed schedule of events, activities and entertainment to mark the special occasion.

As Drayton Manor’s national PR agency, we provide a hard-working, always-on press office, delivering activity with the core objective to create energetic, exciting and headline-grabbing campaigns, while maximising all media opportunities in this milestone year for the park.

Approach:

To showcase Drayton Manor’s rich heritage in its 75th year, we announced the opening of a new on-site museum designed to celebrate the magic of the park through the decades.

Packed with artifacts, vintage memorabilia, and iconic moments from Drayton Manor’s incredible history, the museum launch helped us to create stand-out content for target media outlets including ITV News Central and BBC Midlands Today - successfully highlighting the park’s fascinating past to key audiences in the neighbouring regions, and tell the story of how it has transformed into a leading visitor attraction for all ages.

Today, Drayton Manor is a place of exhilarating rides and action-packed attractions. To mark 75 years of epic adventure, we invited a group of thrill-seeking over 70s to enjoy a day of fun at the park. Capturing their delight as they conquered some of the most popular rides, we proved that when it comes to thrills and spills, age is just a number!

As the park entered its key summer holiday period, we continued to secure high-quality broadcast opportunities with top-tier media outlets.

National broadcast coverage included Good Morning Britain, This Morning and Married at First Sight, while the presenter from BBC Breakfast delivered his piece to camera live from the park’s wildest rides - giving viewers a hit of adrenaline over their coffee and cornflakes!
