Rewired wins extended national brief for The Handmade Fair

Communications agency, Rewired, has been appointed on a national level to deliver the PR and media relations for The Handmade Fair, supporting two of its shows across the UK.

Headlined by TV presenter and craft enthusiast, Kirstie Allsopp, The Handmade Fair is the ultimate creative day out with hands-on workshops, resident experts, handpicked-sellers and street food.

In a competitive process, Rewired was hired last year to support The Handmade Fair when it debuted in Warwickshire. Following its resounding success, the agency has been re-appointed to support the Ragley Hall show from 11th – 13th May 2018, as well as winning an extended brief to handle the brand new show at Bowood House in Wiltshire taking place from 22nd – 24th June 2018.

Rewired will deliver a series of creative stunts and awareness campaigns, as well as handling the national and regional media relations in the run up to, and during both the shows.

Natalie Merrix, client services director at Rewired said: “Our work within the live events sector is growing and we feel very privileged to work with a number of high-profile shows like The Handmade Fair, BBC Good Food Show and BBC Gardeners’ World.

“This latest extended brief for The Handmade Fair demonstrates our hands-on team’s ability to deliver creative campaigns, both regionally and nationally, which result in increased footfall and ticket sales for our clients.”

Based in Birmingham with clients across the UK, Rewired specialises in PR, social media and event management across the retail and leisure, education and third sectors. Clients include the Mailbox, Cadbury World, Marco Pierre White restaurants, Mondelez International, and luxury homeware brand, Heals.

Heal’s appoints Rewired to national press office role

Iconic British furniture and interiors retailer, Heal’s, has appointed Rewired to deliver national press office support, working alongside the company’s in-house PR and marketing team.

Rewired was initially appointed to support the launch of the new Heal’s store at the Mailbox in Birmingham, which included a series of launch events, media relations activity, and strategic communications to develop brand awareness across the Midlands region and drive footfall.

Following the launch, Rewired has secured a national brief to provide PR services to Heal’s across consumer, business and trade media.

Harj Millington, commercial director at Rewired, said: “We’re extremely excited and privileged to extend our role with such a high profile and nationally-recognised brand within the lifestyle and homewares sector. It is a great appointment for Rewired at a time when our portfolio of consumer, retail and homewares brands is going from strength-to-strength.  Our creative and hands-on approach combined with our strong media relationships, both nationally and regionally, has secured us work with some fantastic retail and leisure brands, and we look forward to delivering strong results for Heal’s over the coming months.”

Daniel Boden-Wilson, Marketing & PR Manager at Heal’s said: “We were delighted with the results of our Birmingham new store launch, which Rewired worked on with Heal’s. Off the back of that success, we saw Rewired as the perfect choice to provide national press office support to us – they have a great team and are ideally placed in terms of location, experience, and reputation, to help deliver our creative PR and media campaigns.”

Established in 1810, Heal’s has six stores across London, Sussex, Yorkshire, and Birmingham, opening within the Mailbox’s homewares department in October 2017.
