Popeyes Birmingham
To generate widespread anticipation for the opening of the new flagship Popeyes restaurant on Birmingham New Street, we commissioned rapper Lady Leshurr to create a bespoke rap to celebrate the launch. We also worked with Vish Popat as our influencer partner, to capture fun and engaging vox pops with guests in the iconic Popeyes opening day queue.
Our PR campaign successfully engaged foodies in Brum (and beyond), generating 86 pieces of coverage with a combined reach of 109m, and 185,000 video plays during launch week.
The Ivy Temple Row
The way you make your entrance can make all the difference.
To drive bookings for the opening of The Ivy Temple Row, as part of our PR activity, we installed a green 'The Ivy Temple Row' branded telephone box (representing the classically British institution) in one of the busiest squares in central Birmingham.
With a long queue of people waiting with excitement, the telephone box rang once an hour, and the one who answered the phone won a ticket to our VIP launch event.
Our activity generated over 2m impressions across social media, high-quality regional broadcast coverage, and led to the restaurant being fully booked on Friday and Saturday evenings for three months.
Orelle (now 24 Stories)
We engaged with media, influencers, and influential city members to support the opening of Orelle. To mark the reservation lines opening, we delivered a creative stunt in the grounds of St Phillips Cathedral, with local dancers from Birmingham Royal Ballet, DanceXchange, and musicians from Birmingham Symphony Orchestra delivering an exclusive performance for passersby. Members of the public also had the chance to pick up ‘Golden Tickets’ to win a range of prizes.
To mark the official opening, an evening of live entertainment, drinks and canapes was held for local media, high profile VIPs, D&D investors and regional corporate leaders. Guests received personalised invitations, in envelopes wax-sealed with the gold Orelle emblem, and over 250 VIPs attended on the night. In total, our campaign secured 222 pieces of coverage (with a circulation of more than 400m), 23 influencer preview visits, and 12 media visits.
