New season spotlight
In the interiors sector, Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter collections have become industry benchmarks of trend forecasting for the year ahead. From furniture and soft furnishings to lighting and accessories, the seasonal collections are a unique and inspiring snapshot of the latest design trends, innovations, and collaborations – helping to shape how we think, feel and function in the spaces we call home.
A key focus of our PR activity for Heal’s is to support the launch of the brand’s bi-annual seasonal collections. Encompassing in-depth product briefings, research, copywriting, events, and ongoing media relations, our interiors team works in partnership with Heal’s for almost 12 months to ensure that every launch is expertly-managed and seamlessly delivered.
Here, hot off the press following the Heal’s SS26 collection launch, we share five key interiors trends that are set to shape the year ahead - along with some industry hints and tips on how to integrate these into your home.
An ‘all-wood’ statement
The revival of an ‘all-wood’ look has seen it command spaces through architectural floor-to-ceiling panelling to statement cabinetry and storage pieces. Emphasising natural warmth, darker-tone woods, such as Walnut, Cherry and stained Oak are leading the trend for 2026, after paired-back, paler tones dominated previous seasons.
Choose pieces that demonstrate high quality craftsmanship, with designs that showcase and celebrate the beauty of the natural grain. Don’t worry too much about matching items, as selecting wood pieces across a range of tones is the perfect embodiment of a wider shift towards interiors that feel layered and personal.
The ‘lived-in’ look
In stark contrast to the minimalist trend, we are seeing a shift towards homes that reflect personality through layers of items that feel well-loved and lived in. Expressing the ‘transformative power of good design’, as showcased by Heal’s in its latest ‘Where Design Lives’ campaign, this trend is a cultural reflection of the way we want to feel about our homes.
2026 is all about personality, the joy of imperfection, and learning how to mix and match old and new pieces to create a space that really feels like home. A great way to do this is to start with accessories – look to the SS26 collection to get inspiration on colour, patterns, and shapes – and use these pieces to start layering your space.
Generous shapes and organic forms
Set to make a strong comeback this year, bold, generous shapes and soft curves blur the line between comfort-led design and contemporary style. Seen across the new sofa silhouettes of the season, a low profile and deep seating is combined with plush, oversized cushions, to create almost cloud-like designs and cocooning shapes.
Organic forms define this season, with curved profiles, fluted detailing and rounded edges bringing a sense of softness and fluidity to furniture and lighting designs, while celebrating the inherent beauty of natural materials across wood, marble, natural linens, and wool velvets. Seen in larger, statement pieces such as sofas, sideboards and dining tables, these products ground any living space and provide a perfect focal-point to a design scheme.
Earthy colour palettes
Harnessing the pull towards natural and organic interiors, 2026 embraces an uplifting palette inspired by nature’s seasonal shift – rich, earthy bases of warm ochre, rusty red and powder sky-blue form the cornerstone colours of the season, often paired with pops of jewelled colours such as lime, coral pink, and sunshine yellow.
These optimistic tones are reflected across everything from colour-drenched painted rooms to statement sofas, hand-tufted rugs, and artisanal accessories. Our top tip: look for the tonal contrasts, using the earthier base colours to ground your space, before adding hints of striking accents through two to three complementary jewel tones.
Ceramics
From dinnerware to lighting, ceramics remain one of the key investment pieces for interiors. Driven by a rise across socials and searches for ‘Portuguese-girl aesthetic’, which experienced a +300% increase across platforms such as Pinterest and TikTok over the last 12 months, ceramic accessories are a simple way to instantly refresh a space.
Typically seen across accessories such as vases and dinnerware, this season has extended the trend to lighting, with the use of ceramic and porcelain for both bases and shades, offering a delicate, soft, diffused glow that marries with the tactile nature of the ceramic finish.
Make ceramic pieces a talking point for your home, from fluted designs that let the delicate nature of the product shine, to vibrant colour splashes across dinnerware. Each piece truly feels like a piece of art and should be displayed as such – with the trend effortlessly adding both practical design solutions and artistic flair to your home.
